How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated M&E Project Manager to join our growing building services and sustainability team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects across the public sector, commercial property, healthcare, education, and large-scale residential developments.

    Working on projects typically ranging from £25,000 to £1 million in value, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and design coordination through to construction delivery, commissioning, and final handover. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of refurbishment, retrofit, energy efficiency, and decarbonisation schemes, helping clients reduce carbon emissions and progress towards their Net Zero Carbon objectives.

    As a key member of the project delivery team, you will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the successful delivery of multiple M&E building services projects from inception through to completion.

    * Manage project programmes, budgets, risk registers, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.

    * Coordinate mechanical and electrical design activities, ensuring technical compliance and buildability.

    * Procure and manage specialist contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Monitor project performance, costs, and progress, providing regular reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.

    * Ensure all works comply with current Building Regulations, CDM Regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.

    * Conduct site visits, progress meetings, and inspections to maintain quality and programme objectives.

    * Manage commissioning activities, witness testing, snagging processes, and project handovers.

    * Support clients with project planning, technical advice, and value engineering opportunities.

    * Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional project support and services.

    About You

    * Proven experience delivering M&E building services projects (£25k–£1m).

    * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

    * Experience working in occupied/live environments.

    * Commercial awareness and contractor management experience.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Full UK driving licence.

    What We Offer

    * Hybrid working (2 days WFH).

    * Flexible start and finish times.

    * 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.

    * Minimum 6% employer pension contribution.

    * Private medical insurance.

    * EV scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, holiday buy/sell, and more.

    Join a forward-thinking business delivering sustainable building solutions and making a real impact on the UK's journey to Net Zero
