How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maths Teacher - Northampton Secondary Schools | September Start | Long-Term Opportunities Available

    Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity this September? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Maths Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in Northampton and the surrounding areas.

    We have a range of exciting long-term placements available from September, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities within supportive and welcoming school environments. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to build your classroom experience, we would love to hear from you.

    We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Schools are increasingly seeking Maths Teachers who can differentiate learning effectively, create inclusive classroom environments, and support students with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential.

    The Role:

    Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with opportunities for Key Stage 5 in some schools).
    Plan, prepare, and assess student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
    Support students of varying abilities, including those with SEND.
    Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes achievement and confidence.
    Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and wider support teams where required.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
    Strong classroom management skills and a passion for raising attainment.
    SEN/SEND experience or a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
