How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Project Manager Bristol based with travel to sites  HVAC - Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Controls  £65-80k plus bonus  Share opportunities  Package including Car, Holidays and Pension
     
    Are you a Mechanical biased Project / Contracts Manager with experience of running projects from Small works up to a rough value of £3-5mill and looking for an opportunity to work for a business where not only give you a job but an opportunity to have shares within the business and be a part of something that is growing.  
     
    This company specialise in Mechanical Projects across various commercial buildings, mostly refurbishments and upgrades with some new works, the cover all aspects of HVAC and Controls and are looking for someone to join the business with experience on the Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Controls side of the projects. They have people from the Gas / Heating side so this person would balance the team in terms of specialism. 
     
    Some of the projects you would be involved in are a large commercial site where they are stripping down the existing AC units and replacing with HVRF and DX units, new ductwork and AHU's, Domestic hot water, new cold water services and end of journey services such as showers, toilets etc... New Controls (subbed out to BMS company) knowledge of this would be massively advantageous. 
     
    Other projects already booked in for the next 12 months are 
    FCU replacements 
    Duct and Vent 
    Air Conditioning upgrades 
    ASHP 
    AC and Vent 
    Plumbing
