How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Junior BMS Engineer

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior BMS Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering Building Management System (BMS) projects for a range of national and multinational clients across Ireland.

    This role is ideally suited to a recent engineering graduate or someone with a background in HVAC, electrical, automation, instrumentation, refrigeration, or building services who is looking to develop a long-term career in the building automation industry.

    Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain hands-on experience commissioning and testing BMS systems on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, with clear progression opportunities into design and engineering roles.

    Responsibilities

    Assisting with the engineering and commissioning of BMS systems
    Supporting testing, fault finding, and system validation activities
    Working closely with senior engineers to deliver projects safely and efficiently
    Producing and maintaining accurate project documentation
    Liaising with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders on site
    Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company and industry standards

    Desired Experience

    Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in an Engineering discipline
    Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
    Understanding of automation and control systems
    Electrical and instrumentation knowledge
    Good computer literacy
    Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
