Our client is looking to recruit an experienced EC&I Technician to join their busy engineering team at their COMAH facility based in Cumbria. The role will involve undertaking preventative and reactive maintenance activities across a wide range of electrical, controls and instrumentation systems to support site safety, reliability and production performance.
Requirements:
As an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding and engineering activities across the plant. Previous experience within COMAH is preferred; however, candidates from other heavy industrial or highly regulated environments will also be considered.
Therefore, to be successful you should have experience with:
* 415V 3-phase electrical systems
* PLC/DCS systems
* Hardwired control systems
* Digital and analogue instrumentation
* Electrical fault finding and maintenance
* Preventative and reactive maintenance
* Permit to Work systems
* Electrical isolations
* Risk assessments and safe systems of work
* CMMS systems
Experience within the following environments would also be advantageous:
* COMAH / Chemical Manufacturing
* ATEX / DSEAR hazardous areas
* Oil & Gas
* Power Generation
* Pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing industries
Qualifications & Experience:
* Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 equivalent within Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation
* COMPEX 1-4 preferred, however training can be provided within 6 months
* Strong fault-finding and maintenance background within an industrial environment
