What You'll Be Doing
The successful ICT Teacher will:
Deliver engaging, well-planned and differentiated ICT lessons
Maintain high expectations of academic achievement and behaviour
Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
Effectively manage behaviour within a classroom environment
Provide direction and support to Teaching Assistants
Promote positive mental health and trauma-informed approaches
Contribute to subject leadership as directed by the Senior Leadership Team
Support pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
Experience teaching ICT
A successful track record of motivating and engaging young people
Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of SEMH needs
Awareness of trauma-informed practices and positive mental health promotion
A flexible, energetic and proactive approach
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
A full driving licence (essential)
Previous experience within a special school or alternative provision setting would be advantageous. However, candidates with the right attitude, resilience and commitment are encouraged to apply.
