Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEND college to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Specialist Tutor. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people with learning difficulties, communication needs, and additional needs as they progress towards greater independence and adulthood.
You will deliver engaging, personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes, helping learners develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to thrive in education, employment, and daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
• Support learners with SEND to achieve academic, personal, and independence goals
• Create an inclusive, positive, and learner-centred environment
• Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reviews and assessments
• Promote learner wellbeing, confidence, and preparation for adulthood
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, learning disabilities, autism, or communication difficulties
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and person-centred learning approaches
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive education
• Enhanced DBS required prior to starting
