Job Summary
Clearfield are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing Estimator to join a Roofing/Cladding Subcontractor based in Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects, liaising with clients and suppliers, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in cost control and project planning within a dynamic construction environment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed and accurate roofing cost estimates based on project specifications and site visits.

* Analyse blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine material and labour requirements.

* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate prices.

* Assist in the preparation of project bids and tenders, ensuring competitiveness whilst maintaining profitability.

* Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets.

* Collaborate with project managers and site teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing materials, industry standards, and market prices.

* Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and techniques.

Requirements

* Proven experience in roofing estimation or a similar role within the construction industry.

* Strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.

* Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.

* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Demonstrated ability in cost control and budget management.

* Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under tight deadlines.
