How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Assistant Site Manager - 200 Unit Traditional Build Development

We're working with a highly regarded residential developer to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for an exciting new 200-unit traditional build development. The scheme will deliver a collection of high-quality family homes in a sought-after location near Woking

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a project at the very beginning of its journey. Groundworks are currently underway, with foundations due to commence in the coming weeks, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys being involved from the early stages and seeing a development take shape from the ground up.

You'll be working alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager and Site Manager, giving you the opportunity to learn from a strong leadership team while taking on genuine responsibility across the site.

    The Role

This is a well-rounded Assistant Site Manager position where you'll be involved in all aspects of site delivery and play a key role in helping the development progress safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Senior Site Manager and Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development
Managing subcontractors and monitoring progress across active work areas
Assisting with the transition from groundwork and infrastructure into the vertical build phase
Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and site presentation
Supporting NHBC inspections and ensuring plots are delivered in line with required standards
Helping keep the programme moving and identifying potential issues before they impact delivery
Building positive working relationships with trades, suppliers, and the wider project team
Contributing to a professional, organised, and quality-focused site culture

    What We're Looking For

Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding
    Traditional build experience is essential
A good understanding of NHBC standards and inspection processes
Someone organised, enthusiastic, and keen to continue developing their career
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Experience working with a PLC developer or quality-focused regional housebuilder would be advantageous

    What's On Offer

    Up to £55,000 basic salary
    Competitive package and bonus structure
Opportunity to join a development in its earliest stages
    Support from experienced site leadership
Clear progression opportunities as the development grows
Long-term career prospects with a highly respected residential developer

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager who wants to be part of a flagship development from day one, learn from experienced professionals, and continue building a successful career within residential housebuilding.
