How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician
    📍 Wednesbury, West Midlands
    💰 Up to £55,000 per annum
    🕒 Days, Lates & Night Shifts Available
    🔧 Permanent | Full-Time

    HGV Technician & Mobile HGV Technician Opportunities – Wednesbury

    We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Technicians and Mobile HGV Technicians to join a well-established commercial vehicle operation in the Wednesbury area. Whether you prefer working in a fully equipped workshop or out in the field supporting customers, we have opportunities available to suit your experience and preferences.

    Available Roles

    * Workshop-Based HGV Technician

    * Mobile HGV Technician

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs.

    * Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.

    * Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.

    * Ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards.

    * Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.

    Mobile HGV Technicians will also:

    * Attend customer sites and roadside locations.

    * Carry out emergency breakdown repairs and routine maintenance.

    * Deliver excellent customer service while working independently.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Mobile HGV Technician.

    * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent are desirable.

    * Full UK driving licence (essential for Mobile HGV Technician roles).
