Job Title: Signage Engineer (Parking Systems Installation, Field Based)
Salary: £30,000 + Plenty of overtime available + company van/ tools/ milage
Location: High Wycombe is Head Office, the role is field based. Someone based in the Midlands would be an ideal location.
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Signage Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and quality assurance of parking signage systems. This role involves working with design plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering safe, durable, and clearly visible signage for parking facilities. Working alone and with a team to complete installations. The role will include national travel and some staying away overnight.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Install parking signage including directional signs, regulatory signs, and informational displays in accordance with project specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, site plans, and layout designs to determine accurate sign placement
- Ensure all signage installs comply with safety standards, and install guidelines
- Operate tools and equipment for mounting, fixing, and securing signage (e.g., drilling, riveting and using COSHH bonding materials.
- Coordinate with project managers & install teams
- Inspect completed installations for accuracy, visibility, and durability
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements of damaged or outdated signage
- Maintain documentation including installation reports, safety checks, and compliance records
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in signage installation, maintenance experience, or related engineering/technical field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with tools, materials, and mounting techniques used in signage installation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with basic tooling and able to follow site plans
- Health & Safety certifications (e.g., working at heights, manual handling)
- Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with travel to various parking facilities Will involve working at heights Occasional evening or weekend work depending on project deadlines
