How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers – September 2026 Start

    Think Education Partners | Thurrock • Havering • East London

    Think Education Partners are proud to be supporting a range of specialist SEN schools across Thurrock, Havering and the surrounding areas as they begin recruiting SEN Teachers for September 2026. We have opportunities for both experienced SEN practitioners and mainstream teachers who are ready to transition into special education and make a meaningful impact.

    The SEN Schools We Work With

    We partner with a diverse mix of specialist settings, including:

    * ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) schools

    * SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) provisions

    * PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) schools

    * SLCN (Speech, Language & Communication Needs) settings

    * PRUs and Alternative Provisions

    * Schools supporting ADHD, complex needs, and multi‑diagnosis learners

    Each school offers a supportive, child‑centred environment where teachers can genuinely shape progress.

    Why Choose SEN Teaching?

    Working in SEN offers a uniquely rewarding teaching experience:

    * Smaller class sizes and personalised learning

    * Strong multi‑disciplinary support from TAs, therapists and specialists

    * A creative, flexible curriculum approach

    * Visible progress and meaningful impact

    * Warm, collaborative school communities

    If you are passionate about helping children thrive, SEN is a truly fulfilling path.

    Why Register With Think Education Partners?

    By joining our network, you will benefit from:

    * Access to a wide range of SEN teaching roles

    * Daily supply, long‑term and permanent opportunities

    * Roles matched carefully to your experience and preferences

    * A fast, supportive and transparent registration process

    * A dedicated consultant who understands SEN and local schools

    * Honest advice, ongoing guidance and long‑term career support

    We prioritise relationships - with our teachers and with our schools.

    About You

    We’re looking for teachers who:

    * Hold QTS (or equivalent)

    * Are patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive practice

    * Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

    * Bring creativity, resilience and a nurturing approach

    SEN experience is welcomed but not essential- many of our best SEN teachers come from mainstream backgrounds.

    Ready for Your Next SEN Teaching Role?

    If you are exploring SEN opportunities for September 2026, we would love to speak with you. Think Education Partners are here to support your next step with clarity, care and confidence
