How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We’re working with a well established not for profit organisation within the not for profit sector who are looking to appoint an HR Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis.


    This is a varied, people facing role providing high quality HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll act as a first point of contact for managers and staff, handling employee relations matters, supporting policy application, and ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently and in line with best practice and employment law.

    It’s a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys advisory work, stakeholder engagement, and working in a complex, values led organisation.


    πŸ’₯ As a HR Advisor, you will:


    • Provide front-line HR advice and guidance to managers and staff across a wide range of people matters
    • Support and manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence matters
    • Apply, interpret and support the development of HR policies and procedures
    • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems in line with GDPR requirements
    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including trade unions where appropriate
    • Support payroll-related processes and contractual changes
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services, processes and ways of working
    • Act as a trusted, solution-focused partner to the wider organisation

    • Proven experience working in a busy HR advisor role
    • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment law
    • Experience handling employee relations cases end to end (Desirable)
    • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
    • Confident communicator, able to advise managers at different levels
    • Comfortable working with HR systems and digital tools
    • A collaborative, proactive and customer focused approach
