How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A Legal 500 ranked national law firm is looking for a Legal PA to join a specialist team in Bristol.

    This is a varied, fast-paced role supporting a highly regarded team of fee earners — with a genuine opportunity to grow into a lead or supervisory position over time. You'll be joining the Succession & Tax team, working closely with a small group of specialist fee earners in a supportive and collaborative environment.


    The Role

    • Delivering high quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
    • Managing complex diaries and coordinating travel arrangements
    • Drafting, amending and maintaining precedent letters and house style documents
    • Matter setup and compliance with internal procedures
    • Communicating professionally with clients and stakeholders on behalf of fee earners


    About You

    Some Legal PA or legal secretarial experience within a professional services environment is preferred, though the firm is open to strong candidates from other sectors with excellent secretarial and administrative skills. Previous experience in private client, succession or tax matters is advantageous but not essential.


    You'll bring:

    • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint and case management system skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • The ability to handle highly confidential information with tact and sensitivity
    • Strong organisational and communication skills
    • A collaborative and flexible approach
