At UOS, we manage a global offshore workforce supporting vessels and projects around the world. We are looking for an experienced HR Superintendent - Crew Operations to take ownership of crew operations, workforce planning, recruitment and compliance across our fleet.
This is a fixed-term position for a period of 2 years, with the potential opportunity to become a permanent role upon completion of the contract.
Your Impact
You will play a key role in ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Manage crew rotations, manning plans and crew change operations.
- Coordinate international travel, visas and related logistics.
- Support recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of offshore personnel.
- Maintain crew records, certifications and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with STCW, MLC and applicable labor regulations.
- Monitor training requirements and crew competence development.
- Support audits, vessel visits and client requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of crewing processes and systems.
- Support budgeting, reporting and HR-related projects
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in Crewing, HR or Workforce Management within shipping or offshore industries.
- Strong knowledge of STCW, MLC and crew certification requirements.
- Experience with international crew logistics and workforce planning.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
