How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary - £35,000 – £53,000


    My client is looking for an experienced Design Authority to lead the architecture and design efforts within their organization. As a key stakeholder, they will oversee the development and governance of technical designs, ensuring they align with business goals, standards, and best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects and drive innovation across teams.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Lead the design and review of complex technical solutions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
    • Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices across multiple projects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, development, and project management, to deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Evaluate and approve technical designs, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
    • Assist in resolving complex design challenges and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions where appropriate.


    What We’re Looking For


    • Proven experience in systems architecture, technical design, or a related role within a complex technical environment.
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle, cloud technologies, and infrastructure.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure) are a plus.
