ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a global aerospace organisation and one of the world's leading helicopter manufacturers, delivering aircraft sales, maintenance, engineering, training, and support services across both civil and military aviation sectors.
They are currently seeking an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to support the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) Rotary Wing programme, working on the H135 and H145 helicopter fleet based at RAF Valley.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team supporting critical military flight training operations within a fast-paced and safety-critical aviation environment.
THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL FITTER ROLE:
As an Aircraft Electrical Fitter, you will provide engineering support to flight operations while carrying out planned and corrective maintenance activities across the H135 and H145 fleet, with a particular focus on aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
You will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities as directed by Certifying Engineers and Shift Supervisors, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with OEM procedures and aviation regulations.
The role will involve supporting both Line and Base Maintenance activities, conducting workshop-based technical tasks, assisting with aircraft movements, and contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the hangar environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft availability while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and engineering excellence are always maintained.
AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL FITTER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Completed Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical, avionic, or aerospace engineering qualification
- Experience within Aircraft Line Maintenance environments
- Experience within Aircraft Base Maintenance environments
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Experience using specialist test equipment for electrical and avionics systems
- Knowledge of Flight Operations and aircraft maintenance activities
- Ability to work from technical documentation and OEM instructions
- Strong understanding of aviation safety and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Eligible to obtain SC Clearance
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Experience working on Airbus Helicopters products
- H135 helicopter experience
- H145 helicopter experience
- Military Aviation experience
- Knowledge of UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS)
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations
- Knowledge of Part M regulations
