How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    York City Gymnastics (YCG) is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, driven, and experienced coach to lead our WAG squad to new heights. We’re looking for a Head Coach who is not only technically skilled but also passionate about athlete development, team culture, and long-term success.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious coach to shape the future of our WAG competition squad programme.


    What We Offer

    • A competitive salary of £32K–£45K, based on experience.
    • Full-time role ( 35h per week)

    Requirements

    • Minimum British Gymnastics Level 3 WAG coaching qualification. Level 4+ desirable.
    • Proven experience coaching competitive-level gymnasts.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior coaches and foster a positive team culture.
    • Excellent communication and teaching abilities, capable of breaking down complex techniques for athletes of varying skill levels.
    • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire gymnasts to set ambitious goals and work towards achieving them.

    Desirable Experience

    • Demonstrated success in athlete development and progression.
    • Experience planning and delivering structured, safe, and engaging gymnastics sessions.
    • Strong organisational skills, including planning training schedules, events, and competitions.
    • Knowledge of talent identification and athlete pathway development.
    • A thorough understanding of gymnastics rules, strategies, and best practices.
    • Good IT proficiency
