How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hi 👋

    Our client, a respected professional membership organisation, is seeking an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Officer to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an EDI professional who is immediately available or available at short notice and is passionate about creating inclusive environments for both employees and members.

    Working closely with colleagues across Membership, People and senior leadership teams, you will help deliver the organisation's EDI strategy, improve member engagement, support inclusive practices and ensure equality, diversity and inclusion remain central to the organisation's culture and decision making.

    💥 As an EDI Officer, you will:

    • Support the delivery of the organisation's EDI strategy and associated action plans
    • Work with internal teams and member groups to promote inclusive practices and improve representation
    • Analyse workforce and membership diversity data, producing reports and recommendations
    • Coordinate EDI initiatives, campaigns and events throughout the year
    • Support member networks, advisory groups and stakeholder forums
    • Contribute to the development and review of policies, guidance and organisational procedures
    • Deliver training, workshops and awareness sessions to staff, volunteers and members
    • Monitor progress against EDI objectives and prepare reports for senior leadership and committees
    • Research emerging EDI trends and best practice across the membership sector
    • Support consultation and engagement activities with members and key stakeholders

    💥 What we're looking for:

    • Previous experience working within an EDI, Membership, People or Organisational Development role
    • Strong understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and EDI best practice
    • Experience analysing and presenting diversity data and insights
    • Experience delivering EDI projects, initiatives or engagement programmes
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Experience working with member groups, committees, volunteers or networks would be advantageous
    • Strong report writing and presentation skills
    • Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
    • Immediate availability or availability within 1 month is highly desirable
