How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established printing services company are looking for a hands on and quality driven Production Supervisor to lead the shift team and execute the production schedule efficiently.

    Hours

    • 10pm to 6am Sunday to Friday

    Responsibilities

    • Leading and motivating the team to ensure daily targets are met
    • Monitoring the production schedule, reassigning tasks to prevent bottlenecks and OTIF
    • Implementing and enforcing strict QC checks, personally, signing off on complex projects
    • Supporting the development of operatives, ensuring they are competent in using machinery
    • Maintaining a high standard of departmental "5S", ensuring a safe and organised workspace.
    • Identifying and implementing ways to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and improve RFT
    • H&S ensuring team use PPE/ISO 14001 waste disposal protocols for hazardous materials
    • Communicating shift progress, output levels, and any personnel or technical issues to the Production Management team


    Requirements


    • Previous experience leading a team in a manufacturing or production
    • Experience in Print production or sign-making highly desirable
    • Exceptional attention to detail with a zero-defect mindset for Quality Control
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to stay calm and lead a team through high-pressure, deadline-driven shifts.
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team briefings.
    • A self-starter who looks for solutions rather than just reporting problems.
