How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This global design consultancy are looking for a Creative Client Lead to play a key role within their global in-house creative agency. Working closely with their wide array of clients, you have been a senior creative who is a strategic thinker and enjoys engaging directly with clients, spotting opportunities and pitching for projects of work and enjoy building relationships with senior stakeholders and external clients.

This role is working as part of their growth team within this internal agency that consists of brand design, UI/UX, motion, development, 3D and Immersive tech teams. Based from either their central Birmingham or Manchester offices on a hybrid basis – with some travel – both to their offices across the UK, but also to their global offices in Canada, Dubai, India and Australia – 4 to 5 times per year.

    About the company

Our client is a global design consultancy, offering creative design and innovation services to internal and external clients on a national and global level. They work with high profile organisations in the transport, defence, energy, and engineering sectors and work collaboratively in helping their clients achieve their ambitions, leading world class creative projects.

At the heart of the business sits their thriving in-house creative agency team, a highly talented and multidisciplinary team of 85 people across the UK and globally, providing expertise in graphic design, UX, UI design, digital development, 3D visualisation, motion, and immersive media.

They offer a great path for progression with bespoke personal development plans – they like to reward their staff for excellence and innovation and create a culture that is truly progressive and collaborative.

    About the role

As Creative Client Lead, you will be proactive in bringing ideas on how projects and the overall business can run more effectively, challenging creativity, processes and strategies and overall improving the quality and delivery of projects.

Their Creative Client Leads and Account Managers connect their design services with both internal and external clients, working with their clients to make sense of complex ideas, transforming them into compelling stories and clear visuals that unlock new opportunities and drive growth for the design team.

When working with clients and taking a brief, you will be able to shape and expand the brief and explain to the client about the various possible creative solutions that could deliver against their brief, challenging the clients’ thinking and working alongside digital teams to deliver innovative multi-discipline solutions.

You will play an important supporting role within their Growth & Delivery teams. You will help open doors to new opportunities, helping to demonstrate the value the design team brings to projects and challenges across the business and their external clients.

This role isn’t hands on creatively, although they are looking for someone who has been a creative lead or creative director and knows what great design and creativity looks like, but has now taken the next step in engaging more with client development and growth and pitching for work.

You will meet directly with clients to convey their creative design and innovative solutions and be able to take clients on a journey of what is possible and you will use your creative experience to guide the client and broaden their mind of what can be achieved, spotting opportunities for growth and development.

You will be able to identify and develop new areas for growth aligned with the design teams’ strategic plans, working closely with cross-functional teams to then deliver on those creative projects.

Success in the role requires clear and confident communication and the ability to connect ideas, workflows, and teams across global locations. You should feel comfortable leading discussions, presenting ideas, and inspiring others.

This role suits someone who thrives on connection - sparking conversations, expanding networks, and embracing frequent travel across the UK and internationally to unlock new opportunities.

Their creative projects are diverse, you may be leading the creative on an event, supporting the definition of a new customer experience, or having design input into a multi-discipline project from a branding perspective.

Please note that the role also involves quoting and scoping of the project and brief, working closely alongside account managers and project managers to aid the successful delivery of the projects.

    About you

You have experience working in a creative environment, with a broad understanding of creative disciplines and have collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams, either in-house or agency and ideally across multiple offices or perhaps globally.

You are a confident communicator, with experience of pitching to clients both in person and virtually with a strong focus on storytelling.

You can think on your feet and work with the team to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories and visuals for clients and internal teams.

You have led a team of creatives and enjoy inspiring a team and getting the best out of them, leading by example.

You are commercially driven and are able to be instrumental in the planning, scheduling/scoping and budgeting of projects.

You enjoy building client relationships and have a work winning mentality.

You enjoy collaborating with wider teams, are proactive in your approach and curious about new technologies or new ways of delivering creative projects.

You are calm under pressure and are comfortable working in a fast paced environment and across multiple projects.

You are able to travel to different offices – frequently within the UK and occasional international travel - around 4 or 5 times a year and is planned well in advance.

Being a globally led company, their benefits list is extensive with 25 days holidays plus the option to buy or sell additional leave and a contributory pension scheme where the company will pay up to 10% employer contribution if you contribute 5% - along with many other benefits.

Please note, our client is committed to inclusion and diversity and welcomes applications from all persons, including those with a disability or long-term health condition, who meet the requirements of the job role
