Head of Marketing - Nottingham
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Marketing to lead the development of our marketing function and help shape the next stage of growth for the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on marketing leader to build and manage a new internal marketing team from the ground up. Initially, the role will oversee a Social Media Manager, UX Designer, and Direct Marketing Manager, with the opportunity to further expand the function over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team
- Oversee brand positioning, customer engagement, lead generation, and campaign performance
- Drive digital marketing activity across multiple channels including social media, direct marketing, website, email, and content
- Work closely with senior leadership to support commercial objectives and business development initiatives
- Lead customer acquisition and retention strategies using data-driven insights
- Manage marketing budgets and evaluate ROI across campaigns and channels
- Collaborate with the UX Designer to improve customer journey and website performance
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and marketing standards across all platforms
- Identify new opportunities, trends, and innovations within the market
About You
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role
- Experience building or managing marketing teams
- Strong digital marketing and campaign management expertise
- Commercial awareness with the ability to translate marketing activity into business growth
- Experience across brand, digital, direct, and customer marketing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- A collaborative and adaptable approach
- Experience working within a growing or evolving business environment would be advantageous
- Previous experience within an eCommerce business or retail-focused digital environment would be highly desirable
