This is an opportunity to join a high-performing legal team supporting Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Equity-Linked Capital Markets (ELCM) and M&A transactions across EMEA and MENAT. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll advise on high-profile, cross-border transactions and play a key role in managing legal and reputational risk across the business.
Your Responsibilities:
• Advise on a broad range of ECM, ELCM and M&A transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, block trades, convertible bonds and public/private M&A deals
• Provide commercially focused legal advice and risk management support to investment banking stakeholders
• Support transaction execution, identifying and mitigating legal and reputational risks
• Partner with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance and front-office teams
• Manage external counsel relationships and coordinate advice on complex cross-border matters
• Contribute to legal process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the wider legal function
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years' PQE and strong ECM experience
• Experience advising on complex capital markets and transactional matters within a leading law firm or financial institution
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Prior exposure to international transactions and cross-border legal issues; US securities law experience is advantageous
Why This Role Is Attractive:
• Opportunity to work on some of the market’s most significant ECM and M&A transactions
• Join a globally recognised financial institution with an international platform and strong deal flow
• Exposure to senior stakeholders across investment banking and legal functions
• High-quality, intellectually challenging work across multiple jurisdictions
• Collaborative team environment with significant autonomy and responsibility
If you're a ECM lawyer looking for a high-profile interim opportunity within a leading financial institution, we'd be keen to hear from you.
