How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)


    Service Care Solutions are recruiting to support a major Primary Care Centre, located in Morcombe and Heysham.


    Are you looking for a locum placement, with flexible clinics to work around your diary? Our client in the Heysham area are requiring support until the end of March 2026


    Location: Morecambe / Heysham

    Setting: Primary Care (GP Surgery)

    Rate: £50 per hour (LTD)


    Working Hours: 8:00am – 6:30pm (Ideally but can be changed)

    Days Required: Flexible to work around your dairy

    Contract Length: long term locum

    Systems: EMIS (experience required)


    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced ACP / ANP to support a GP surgery in the Morecambe / Heysham area. This role involves delivering high-quality primary care services, managing a varied caseload, and working autonomously within a well-established practice team.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct same-day acute clinics, minor illness appointments and chronic disease reviews within scope of practice.
    • Perform F2F and telephone clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and formulate management plans.
    • Prescribe medications safely and appropriately (if a qualified prescriber)
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS.
    • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and wider MDT to ensure continuity of care.
    • Support practice demand during peak periods by providing high-quality, autonomous clinical decision-making.


    Essential Requirements

    • Qualified ACP / ANP with proven primary care or urgent care experience.
    • Confident in autonomous clinical assessment and management.
    • Smartcard essential.
    • Competent using EMIS.
    • Full right to work in the UK.
