How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Financial Controller – Consumer Goods Industry (FMCG)

West London based HQ - hybrid working

Salary to attract experience + bonus + benefits

Our client is a private equity backed $500m international food business, in search of a qualified financial reporting Accountant to represent the UK plus smaller EMEA subsidiaries at the leadership table. The remit is simple; reporting to the international Finance VP, based in the USA, as ‘co-pilot’ of the business, you will own the financial reporting agenda for a growing and profitable $90m geographic region with a portfolio of well-known confectionery brands.

You will step into a challenging brief, positioning you to lead a team. The ambition is to further raise standards of financial control by building ‘best in class’ disciplines that will ensure robust transparency and reporting. Beyond the day-to-day, you will also pioneer a programme of evolutionary change, enhancing current reporting systems and ways of working to realise the company’s aim for more efficient and contemporary approaches to the role of Finance across the company. This will include various short and long range commercial finance projects as well as integrating business planning tools.

As a key member of the Finance team alongside an FP&A Controller, you’ll account for tight cost controls, accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, forecasts, provide commentary and a strategic point of view at UK Board and US PE owners at meetings on a regular basis. You will also be responsible for compliance of all legal and tax requirements, and forex fluctuations.

A credible presence in the field of finance, most preferably knowledgeable in the food/drink industry already, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, and comfortable with Financial IT, you’ll also have a highly collaborative style of working. The quality of your leadership and influencing skills must be finely honed and evident.

In return, you can expect your career to go from strength to strength in a global company that manages to retain an intimate, entrepreneurial working environment and fun culture.

Looking for real ownership and empowerment? This is the role you’ve been waiting for as your step up to the Leadership table.
