How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Financial Administrator to Paraplanner- route to Practice Manager)

    Salary £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits

    Our client, a highly regarded and growing Partner Practice within the SJP network (this is a better description of them ) wealth management firm based in Central London, is looking to add a Financial Administrator to their close-knit and supportive team.


    Founded in 2013, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality financial planning advice and is now seeking an additional team member to support its continued growth. The firm is led by an experienced and successful Financial Adviser and is supported by an Office Manager, Adviser and Administrator, creating a collaborative environment where everyone plays an important role.


    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Administrator looking to join a friendly, flexible and professional firm where your contribution will be recognised and valued from day one.

    For the right person, there is genuine long-term progression available, including the opportunity to develop into a practice manger role over time, with full study support provided.


    The Opportunity

    You'll be joining a busy and varied environment where you'll work closely with the Adviser and wider team to ensure the smooth running of the client journey.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting advisers and clients alike, helping manage incoming client requests, preparing for meetings and ensuring all administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

    This role would particularly suit someone with previous experience of working within (an SJP Partner Practice ) a wealth management or financial planning environment.


    The Role

    This is a broad financial planning administration position where you'll take ownership of key aspects of the client servicing process.

    Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Managing incoming client requests and queries
    • Preparing documentation and meeting packs for client meetings
    • Updating and maintaining Salesforce records
    • Producing and assisting with suitability letters
    • Processing applications and servicing requests
    • Managing Letters of Authority and gathering provider information
    • Maintaining accurate client records and databases
    • Liaising with product providers, advisers and clients
    • Supporting the ongoing review process
    • Assisting with workflow management and task tracking
    • Taking ownership of tasks and proactively finding solutions when required

    As your knowledge and experience develop, there will be increasing opportunities to become involved in more technical work and progress towards Paraplanning responsibilities.


    Who This Would Suit

    This role would suit a Financial Administrator with at least 1-2 years' experience within a an SJP Partner Practice ) financial planning, wealth management or financial advice environment.

    You'll ideally have:

    • Experience within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management firm
    • A good understanding of the financial advice process
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills
    • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, Intelligent Office or similar
    • A proactive and positive approach to work

    Previous SJP experience is essential.
