How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Role: Projects Conformance Manager
    Location: UK Wide
    Salary: £90,000

    About Our Client:

Our client is a leading provider of innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions, supporting both municipal and industrial customers across the UK and internationally.

Driven by a commitment to improving public health, protecting the environment, and supporting sustainable economic development, they deliver advanced technologies that help customers manage one of the world's most valuable resources - water.

Their solutions focus on the treatment, recovery, and reuse of water and wastewater, helping organisations reduce energy consumption, minimise chemical usage, optimise land requirements, and improve operational efficiency. Through a combination of engineering expertise, innovation, and a strong commitment to quality, they continue to play a key role in advancing sustainable water management practices globally.

    About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Operational Conformance Manager to champion a "Right First Time" culture across their operational delivery teams. This is a high-impact role focused on driving quality, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the business.

Working closely with operational and HSQ teams, you will identify performance trends, investigate root causes of defects and rework, and implement sustainable solutions that improve project outcomes. You will play a key role in ensuring standards, quality, and governance are embedded across all areas of delivery while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continual improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

Lead the management, investigation, and resolution of all rework, complaints, defects, and non-conformance issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
Establish and monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs), driving initiatives to maintain and improve performance.
Develop and maintain risk-based priority plans, ensuring the highest-risk issues are addressed first.
Carry out regular site visits to assess real-time performance, validate operational data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Audit operational activities, provide constructive feedback, and report findings with clear recommendations.
Develop and maintain standards, procedures, governance frameworks, and controls to ensure projects are delivered right first time.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate repeat failures and strengthen operational performance.
Work collaboratively across departments to promote ownership and accountability for quality and conformance.
Champion lessons learned processes, ensuring findings are documented, communicated, and incorporated into future project delivery.
Facilitate operational review meetings and improvement workshops, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
Support post-project reviews, client feedback processes, and emergency response activities where required.
Assist the Operations Director with recruitment and development of team members within the Project Conformance function.
Ensure effective management of personal and team workloads to achieve agreed objectives and targets.

    About You:

Engineering qualification, technical background, or significant practical site-based experience.
Proven experience in quality, compliance, conformance, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles.
Strong understanding of root cause analysis, risk management, and performance improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to influence, motivate, and engage teams at all levels of an organisation.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of behavioural science principles would be advantageous.
    Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused.
High levels of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Confident managing challenging situations and resolving conflict constructively.
