- Flexible start date before August 15th
- 2 days per week during quieter trading periods
- 3 days per week during peak development and production periods
About the Role
Vivere London is looking for experienced freelance garment technologist to work with us in our Central London (Lamb's Conduit Street) office 2-3 days a week.
We are a premium contemporary womenswear brand with a focus on attention to detail, construction and well-made garments and are looking for someone to step into the role during the summer months, with a minimum availability of two days in the office per week with a third day remotely during busier periods.
Our key areas are within softs, casual daywear, occasion, knitwear, outerwear as well as some accessories and you would need experience in the majority of these categories.
We are a small team, working closely together with a flexible approach, within a rapidly growing brand internationally. You will be working closely with the Creative Design Lead organising and executing fit sessions, sending detailed fit comments and communication with factories, following garments through to sealer stage and shipment.

Beginning of season you will be assisting in setting up detailed tech packs in collaboration with Creative Lead with clear visual details for clear communication with factories.
Garment Technologist - Key Responsibilities:
- Solid experience with garment construction across various womenswear categories is essential.
- You will be ensuring the highest standards of garment construction and fit.
- Manage sample development, fittings and key sign-off dates within the critical path
- Your keen eye for detail and deep understanding of fabric behaviour.
- Experience in liaising with suppliers and feeding back detailed, accurate and technical fit comments.
- You will be the key contact for international suppliers, and you will be confident in building solid relationships with them.
- You will have a varied knowledge of fabrics, constructions and commercial manufacturing techniques, for premium womenswear.
- Review and approve samples throughout development stages
- Experience in fabric and garment testing, care label development and placement.
Skills & Experience Required
- Knowledge of European garment labelling and compliance requirements
- Experience managing trims, labels, and packaging approvals with factories
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM/technical systems where applicable
- Ability to work flexibly in line with business needs during busy and quieter periods
