How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Shifts
    £46,000 - £47,000 + Overtime + Excellent Company Benefits
    Hartlepool, Durham

    An excellent opportunity for an electrical engineer looking for a shifts-based role with great training and overtime to increase your earnings.

    This is a great chance to work for an established manufacturer who will develop you in to being a specialist engineer within the industry.

    The role is for a reputable business that boasts a leading name within its industry. You will work as part of a site based engineering team, tasked with ensuring optimum engineering performance, taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenance and supporting site engineering improvement projects.

    You will be supported with full industry specific training, including training across PLC/automation systems, to support you in to becoming a specialist engineer within the sector. There is also an opportunity to increase your earnings through overtime.

    The role would suit an electrical engineer who is looking to work within manufacturing in a role with great training and development.

    Candidates from a forces, industrial, manufacturing or any electrical engineering background are encouraged to apply.

    The Role:
    - Planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure.
    - Supporting site engineering improvement projects.
    - 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts (days and nights) – 42 hours a week.

    The Candidate:
    - Electrical engineering background.
    - Ideally some experience within manufacturing/forces/industrial electrics.
    - Looking for a shifts role with training and development.
