How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Vehicle Technician
    Charing, Kent
    Salary from £37,000 DOE

    An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a growing and forward-thinking business.
    This role offers a varied workload, working on a range of commercial vehicles, motor vehicles, ATVs and off-road equipment, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections to the highest standards.

    The Role
    As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining vehicle reliability, safety and performance while supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop.

    Key duties include:
    ·Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and vehicle inspections.
    ·Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
    ·Completing pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
    ·Servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ATVs and off-road equipment.
    ·Carrying out tyre replacement and wheel alignment work.
    ·Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
    ·Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
    ·Maintaining high workshop housekeeping standards.
    ·Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians.
    ·Working closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

    Candidate Requirements
    ·Previous experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, Agricultural Technician or similar.
    ·Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
    ·Experience working on off-road vehicles advantageous.
    ·Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics.
    ·Own tools required.
    ·Good computer literacy.
    ·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    ·Positive attitude and willingness to undertake further training.
    ·Knowledge of BEV/EV vehicles advantageous.
