How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Machine Operator - Permanent Role

    Elsham, near Brigg

    £31,449 + Overtime + Quarterly Bonus

    4 on / 4 off shifts (2 days / 2 nights)

    We're recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying packaging solutions into the healthcare sector.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator from a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment who is looking to develop their skills and train as a Lamination Operator. Offering excellent earning potential, long-term stability, and a supportive training programme, this role is ideal for someone seeking a long-term career within a growing manufacturing business.

    What you'll be doing:

    Operating production machinery safely and efficiently to meet production and quality targets
    Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
    Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
    Loading, handling and preparing materials in line with production requirements
    Accurately completing production reports and relevant documentation
    Identifying and reporting machine faults or maintenance concerns
    Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, waste management and health & safety
    Supporting wider production activities and continuous improvement initiatives
    Working closely with Team Leaders and production colleagues
    Undertaking full training to develop into a Lamination Operator role

    What we're looking for:

    Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment
    A positive attitude and willingness to learn specialist lamination processes
    Good understanding of production, quality, and health & safety standards
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    Reliable, proactive approach with strong teamwork skills
    Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00)
    Own transport due to site location
