How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Supply Chain team as an External Supply Planner at our Cwmbran site.

    Your Role

    As an External Supply Planner, you will be responsible for executing ERP-driven supply plans with external suppliers to ensure the timely availability of materials to support production.

    This is a highly operational role, focused on supplier coordination, expediting, and risk management, where you will play a key part in maintaining supply continuity and supporting production performance.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Interpreting and actioning MRP outputs to manage purchase orders and supplier schedules
    Monitoring and expediting deliveries to ensure on-time material availability
    Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers on daily operational topics
    Managing supply disruptions, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation actions
    Assessing supplier capacity vs demand and supporting recovery plans where needed
    Tracking supplier performance (OTD, responsiveness, quality) and supporting reviews
    Collaborating cross-functionally with planning, logistics, production, and quality teams
    Maintaining accurate data within ERP systems (lead times, parameters, stock levels)
    Supporting root cause analysis of supply issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives

    Contribute to supplier transport coordination, documentation, and operational requests
