How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Teaching Assistant – Complex Needs & Autism Support
    Bexley Borough Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:45pm
    £92.60 - £105 per day

    A specialist education recruitment agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded specialist academy in the Bexley Borough area.

    This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide tailored support that enables students to access learning, develop communication skills, and achieve positive outcomes.

    The Role

    Supporting students with autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
    Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions.
    Using communication strategies such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Makaton to support student engagement and communication.
    Promoting independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
    Supporting behaviour positively and consistently in line with individual education plans.
    Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
    Being flexible and confident supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age groups (4–19 years).The Ideal Candidate

    Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASC) and complex needs.
    Knowledge and practical experience of PECS and Makaton.
    Experience working with pupils who have varying communication, sensory, and learning needs.
    Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learners with additional needs.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    A genuine passion for SEND education and making a difference in young people's lives.About the School
