Electrical Estimator

My client is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its growing team. This role has been created to strengthen the business's estimating and quotations function.

* The successful candidate will initially split their time between conducting site surveys and office-based estimating activities before transitioning into a more office-focused position as they become established within the role. Full training and support will be provided.

* This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified professional looking to move away from hands-on installation work and develop a career in estimating, commercial support, and customer liaison.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quotations

* Conduct site surveys and gather technical information required for quotations.

* Prepare accurate and timely quotations for maintenance, remedial, and small works projects.

* Review customer requirements and specifications.

* Assist with tender submissions and pricing activities.

* Ensure quotations are issued promptly following site visits.

Service & Maintenance Support

* Assist in scheduling maintenance activities and service visits.

* Support the coordination of remedial works and project delivery.

* Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors.

* Maintain accurate records of quotations, surveys, and customer communications.

Candidate Requirements
Essential

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

* Electrical industry experience with a sound understanding of electrical systems and installations.

* Strong organisational and administrative skills.

* Ability to interpret technical information and prepare accurate quotations.

* Good communication and customer-facing skills.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.

* Previous experience in an estimating, quotations, technical sales, service coordination, or back-office engineering role.

* Experience working with CRM, estimating, or service management software
