How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Teaching Assistant – Science Specialism | September Start | Up to £120 per day

    Location: Haringey, North London
    Pay: £107 to £120 per day
    Start Date: September Start
    Contract: Full Time | Long Term

    Are you a recent Science graduate looking to gain invaluable classroom experience before embarking on a career in teaching?

    A forward thinking and inclusive secondary academy in East London is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across the Science department. The school is recognised for developing future educators and offers excellent opportunities for progression into teacher training.

    This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious graduate who wants to gain practical experience whilst making a positive difference to young people's education.

    The role:

    • Support students across Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons
    • Deliver small group and one to one intervention sessions
    • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and practical activities
    • Encourage student engagement and participation in learning
    • Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs
    • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
    • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Holds a degree in a Science related subject
    • Has a passion for helping young people succeed
    • Is interested in pursuing teacher training in the future
    • Can build strong and positive relationships
