How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths Specialism | September Start | Up to £120 per day

    Location: Haringey, North London
    Pay: £107 to £120 per day
    Start Date: September Start
    Contract: Full Time | Long Term

    Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to take your first step into education?

    Do you have aspirations of becoming a teacher and want to gain meaningful classroom experience within a supportive and ambitious secondary school?

    We are working with a high performing secondary academy in East London that is renowned for its commitment to inclusion, staff development and student success. The school has a strong track record of supporting graduates into teaching careers and offers excellent opportunities for progression and teacher training.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths graduate to join a dedicated team and make a genuine impact on the lives of young people.

    The role:

    • Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 during Maths lessons
    • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment
    • Provide one to one and small group support
    • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
    • Help students build confidence, resilience and engagement in learning
    • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
    • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the school

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject
    • Has a genuine passion for education
    • Is considering a future career in teaching
    • Can build positive relationships with young people
    • Is confident, resilient and proactive
