How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Translate complex engineering information into clear, sequential documentation for engineering teams
    • Ensure robust document and revision control processes are maintained
    • Verify that technicians are always working to the latest approved maintenance data
    • Work directly with engineers and technicians to validate the practicality and usability of technical instructions
    • Support continuous improvement activities by gathering user feedback and updating documentation accordingly
    • Collaborate with engineering, planning and maintenance teams to ensure technical documentation meets operational requirements
    • Maintain high levels of accuracy and compliance within a regulated engineering environment

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience producing technical documentation within an engineering environment
    • Ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate it clearly in written form
    • Strong attention to detail and document control experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills
    • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and extract key technical information
    • Logical problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

    Desirable Experience

    • Aerospace or aviation maintenance experience
    • Knowledge of Part 145 and/or Part CAMO environments
    • Exposure to maintenance planning activities
    • Experience working with engineering document management systems
    • Understanding of regulated maintenance and airworthiness processes

    Qualifications

    • Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) as a minimum
    • Aviation or maintenance-related training would be advantageous

    Personal Attributes

    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
    • Collaborative approach with the confidence to engage technical stakeholders at all levels

    What's on Offer

    • Opportunity to work within a world-class aerospace engineering environment
    • Exposure to complex civil and military aviation programmes
    • Ongoing professional development and training
    • Collaborative and highly skilled engineering team
    • Long-term career progression opportunities within a growing organisation

This position would suit a Technical Author, Technical Publications Engineer, Maintenance Planner, Aircraft Technician transitioning into documentation, or an engineering professional with experience producing controlled technical instructions within a regulated industry.
