How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The core mission is to help children with complex needs - including SEMH, ASD, and anxiety - develop confidence, self-esteem, social skills, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing.

    • Comfortably manage and support 1:1 and small groups of children within a dynamic outdoor environment.
    • Act as a resilient, adaptable, and trusted role model, focusing heavily on connection and positive relationship-building.
    • Ensure all outdoor activities and practical projects are delivered safely across all seasions.

    What You’ll Need

    • Proven experience working with vulnerable children or learners with complex needs (SEMH, ASD, and anxiety).
    • Practical skills for outdoor learning and a genuine comfort working outside in all weather conditions and seasons.
    • A highly practical, hands-on approach paired with a flexible attitude, resilience, and adaptability.
    • Relevant professional qualifications.
    • Confidence in supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviors in a calm, therapeutic manner.
    • Valid right to work in the UK.
    • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).

    Desirable

    • An interest or background in outdoor activities like bushcraft, archery, or forest scchools.
    • Experience in alternative provisions (AP), therapeutic settings, or outdoor education.
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is considered a bonus, but is not essential

    Why Work Here?

    • The opportunity to escape the classroom and deliver hands-on education in a supportive woodland setting
    • Engage with children through an exciting, varied curriculum featuring everything from nature walks to target sports.
    • Great flexibility to actively develop your outdoor education and therapeutic support skills.
    • Comprehensive Training:

    3. Outdoor safety and activity protocols
    4. First aid and emergency procedures.
