How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    💡About the Role

    We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a high-profile data centre project in the Manchester area. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in mission-critical environments.

    You will play a key role in overseeing the commissioning process from pre-commissioning through to final handover, ensuring systems are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and manage all aspects of the commissioning process across MEP systems

    * Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules

    * Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders

    * Oversee testing, validation, and performance verification of systems

    * Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements

    * Identify and mitigate risks throughout the commissioning lifecycle

    * Manage commissioning documentation, reporting, and handover packs

    * Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues on-site

    * Drive health & safety standards across all commissioning activities

    ✅ Requirements

    * Minimum 3 years’ experience in the data centre sector

    * Proven experience working as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale or mission-critical projects

    * Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and BMS systems within data centres

    * Demonstrated experience delivering projects through full commissioning lifecycle

    * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

    * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
