How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Site Manager – Residential Developer
    Bristol
    Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
    Up to £270 per day | £50,000 + Package Upon Permanent Appointment

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded residential developer who is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis in Bristol.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager looking to further develop their career with a business that has a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments throughout the region.

    The successful candidate will initially join on a freelance basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus package, depending on experience and performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day delivery of a residential housing development.
    Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to programme.
    Monitoring quality standards and ensuring defects are minimised.
    Assisting with health and safety management across the site.
    Conducting site inspections and maintaining site records.
    Coordinating trades and ensuring productivity targets are achieved.
    Supporting the delivery of homes through to completion and customer handover.
    Candidate Requirements:

    Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager within the residential housing sector.
    Experience working on volume housing developments is highly desirable.
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    Ability to work effectively within a site management team.
    Good understanding of health and safety legislation and site processes.
