How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing business in Bradford that requires a Design Engineer to join their team.

    As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed design information on a range of product types, as part of our second-line engineering process. You will form a key member of the design team and provide support to both pre-and post-sales functions.

    Duties of the Design Engineer

    * Taking ownership in developing designs to an agreed specification, including the key measures of meeting deadlines, meeting design criteria, liaising with suppliers.

    * Developing designs for projects from initial enquiry, producing costings and producing BOMs (Bill of Materials).

    * Developing new product ranges as part of MP Research & Development process.

    * Working as part of a multi discipline engineering team consisting of ventilation, building services, refrigeration, acoustic and control engineers to develop complex product solutions.

    * Working on varied types of drawings from single line design concepts to intricate detailed manufacturing drawings.

    * Liaising with the drawing department to produce accurate working drawings for production.

    * Liaising with the drawing department to produce sales proposal drawings.

    * Providing mentoring and technical support to other engineers and technicians on areas of speciality.

    * Keeping drawing schedules up to date for issued and received drawings.

    * Managing risk effectively, collaborating with all departments and adapting to situations.

    Experience required of the Design Engineer

    * HVAC/Air Handling is advantageous.

    * 3 years or more industry design experience

    * Must be proficient in 3D CAD. Ideally Inventor, but can consider other 3D CAD packages

    Package/Benefits

    * A salary of up to £47,000 depending on experience

    * 25 days holiday + bank holidays

    * 1 day birthday leave on top of holiday allowance

    * 08:30 – 5pm Monday to Thursday with a 4:30pm finish on Fridays
