How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Pepe’s Food Service:

    Pepe’s Food Service manages the supply chain for all products used in Pepe’s stores.  Currently Pepe’s has over 250 QSR stores in the UK. All the stores are franchised. Pepe’s has opened over 120 franchised stores in the UK over the last 5 years and has plans to have over 600 stores within the next 10 years.


    About the Head of Pepe’s Food Service Role:

    The Head of Pepe’s Food Service is an exciting new role created to develop a supply chain suitable for a brand with over 600 QSR franchised stores in the UK. This role will report directly to Pepe’s Head of Franchising and will be responsible for the current Pepe’s Food Service team of two.


    Job Description:

    Supply Chain Strategy:

    • Create and implement the supply chain strategy for Pepe’s, suitable for over 600 UK stores, ensuring uninterrupted supply of all products used in Pepe’s stores.

    Day to Day Management:

    • Daily management of the Pepe’s Food Service team
    • Daily liaising with the rest of Pepe’s Senior Management team
    • Updating Pepe’s Directors on all aspects of Pepe’s Food Service

    Supplier & Manufacturer Relationship Management:

    • Manage new and existing supplier and manufacturer contracts including pricing and Service Level Agreements
    • Quarterly supplier and manufacturer performance reviews
    • Identify and onboard new suppliers to improve supply chain resilience and for new menu items

    Financial Planning and Reporting:

    • Develop the annual financial budget for Pepe’s Food Service Board sign-off
    • Senior Management monthly reporting on actual performance against budget
    • Manage supply chain pricing    

    Legislation:

    • Manage legislation changes into Pepe’s supply chain
    • Liaise with Pepe’s Primary Authority and Trading Standards

    Analysis and Forecasting:

    • Analyse store purchasing
    • Forecasting across the Pepe’s whole supply chain
    • Managing store compliance

    Risk and Crisis Management:

    • Implement strategies to minimise risks across the supply chain
    • Management of any supply chain issues


    The Successful Applicant

    The successful Head of Pepe’s Food Service will need to have:

    • 8+ years UK Supply Chain Management experience in the QSR sector or high-volume Food & Beverages operations with multi-outlets.
    • Experience managing supplier and manufacturer relationships at a senior level.
    • Experience in financial budgeting and analysis
    • Experience in contract negotiations and contract management
    • Good strategic thinker
    • Ability to work closely with other Department Senior managers
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

     

    What's on Offer

    • £90,000 per annum
    • Performance Related Bonus up to 10% of salary
