- Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts and lead a well-managed year-end process
- Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors, ensuring audit readiness across the team at all times
- Take responsibility for VAT and CIS compliance and reporting across relevant entities
- Oversee Treasury activity including cash visibility, liquidity awareness, banking controls and related governance
- Implement and maintain group-wide finance policies, controls and standard operating procedures
- Identify weaknesses in current processes and lead significant improvements to strengthen the finance function
- Drive finance transformation initiatives including process redesign, system improvement and integration activity
- Lead, develop and strengthen the finance team, building clarity of roles, accountability and capability
- Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies within the finance function, identifying practical opportunities to improve processes and reporting through technology
