As a High Skills Technician within Electrical & Electronic Engineering, you will provide technical support to both lecturers and students across a range of Higher Education programmes. Working within laboratories and practical learning environments, you'll assist with workshop preparation, demonstrations, practical activities, troubleshooting exercises, and project-based learning. You'll also play a key role in maintaining specialist equipment and ensuring learners have access to high-quality technical resources.
You'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies including Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Control Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Software Applications, and Hardware Platforms. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting others, and continuously developing their own knowledge and skills.
The role:
*High Skills Technician - Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
*Based at the Uxbridge Campus.
*Supporting Higher Education programmes and learners aged 18+.
*Providing technical support to lecturers and students within laboratories and practical environments.
*Assisting with workshop and laboratory preparation.
*Supporting demonstrations, practical activities, troubleshooting, and problem-solving sessions.
*Creating and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, and learning resources.
*Working with a wide range of equipment across Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Control Systems, Robotics, Software, and Hardware applications.

The person:
*Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
*Relevant disciplines may include Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or similar Engineering fields.
*Master's degree candidates are encouraged to apply.
*HND-qualified candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered.
*Strong technical knowledge across Electrical, Electronic, and Automation-based systems.
*Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of technical support activities.
*Passionate about supporting students and academic staff within a Higher Education environment.
*Keen to continuously learn and develop alongside evolving technologies and curriculum requirements.
