How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Manager

    UK Based - Travel Required/Remote

    £60,000 - £75,000 + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Enhanced Pension + Enhanced Holiday + Private Healthcare + Training & Progression

    Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with High voltage, utilities or similar experience looking to join a growing business where you can take ownership of commercial performance and play a key role in delivering major utility and infrastructure projects?

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding company, managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account. You will work closely with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors to maximise project profitability while ensuring strong commercial governance and contractual compliance.

    The role offers excellent career progression opportunities and the chance to become a key member of a growing leadership team within the growing High voltage industry.

    Great progression into senior management and opprtunities to develop a team as headcount increases.
    The Role

    Manage commercial performance across multiple projects.
    Prepare and submit valuations, applications, and final accounts.
    Administer contracts and manage contractual risk.
    Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
    Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts.
    Support tendering and pricing activities.
    Produce commercial reports and forecasts for senior management.Essential

    Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or Commercial Manager.
    Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
    Experience working within Utilities, Construction, Infrastructure, Engineering, or related sectors.
    Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    Excellent commercial awareness and analytical ability.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
