How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Electrical Project Manager

    Location: Dublin, Ireland

    Employment Type: Full-time

    About Our Client

Our client stands out as Europe's premier dedicated partner for data centre delivery, providing comprehensive, turnkey solutions that span from initial design right through to construction and final commissioning. With their main headquarters based in Dublin, they successfully execute large-scale projects across the continent, earning a reputation as the most dependable and trusted name in the industry.

They are currently seeking a highly skilled and driven Electrical Project Manager to join their expanding team in Dublin.

    Position Overview

In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of the electrical scope of works across major projects. Your primary focus will be to guarantee that all electrical activities are executed with the highest regard for safety, strictly on schedule, within the agreed financial parameters, and to impeccable quality standards. This position demands seamless collaboration with internal departments, specialised subcontractors, and external stakeholders to champion project success and foster transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight: Direct and synchronise all on-site electrical installation works from inception to completion.

Technical Coordination: Align electrical engineering and design activities smoothly between internal engineering teams and external partners.

Performance Monitoring: Keep a close eye on live works to ensure strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and engineering benchmarks.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and key partners, ensuring shared objectives and clear communication lines.

Workflow Planning: Take the lead in boosting site productivity through meticulous daily and weekly work-front planning.

EHS & Quality Advocacy: Champion a robust culture of safety and quality on-site, ensuring all regulatory and internal protocols are rigorously enforced.

Milestone Management: Monitor critical paths diligently to foresee, analyse, and mitigate potential schedule delays.

Resource Optimisation: Supervise the allocation of labour, equipment, and materials to maximise operational efficiency.

Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and inspire a diverse project team, including engineers, package managers, supervisors, and site foremen.

Interface Management: Collaborate proactively with other site trades to ensure harmonious, safe, and productive operations in shared work zones.

Documentation & Reporting: Review and approve essential project paperwork and weekly site logs. Compile comprehensive weekly project updates covering:

    Health, safety, and incident reports

Schedule metrics (target vs. actual progress)

    12-week rolling lookahead schedules

Industrial relations and site labour updates

Procurement trackers (focusing on long-lead equipment)

Weekly variation logs for the commercial team

Early warnings regarding project risks, delays, or disruptions

Meeting Leadership: Chair weekly progress and coordination meetings with key site personnel (foremen, safety officers, QA engineers, and BIM specialists), ensuring minutes are captured and actions are closed out promptly.

    Candidate Profile

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of proven experience steering large-scale electrical installations (e.g., major commercial offices, high-end retail, hospitality, educational facilities, or heavy industrial builds).

Sector Expertise: Previous experience within the data centre sector is strongly preferred.

Qualifications: A solid background as a qualified electrical trade professional or a degree in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable, backed by recent experience heading up major electrical contracts.

Leadership Traits: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and unite multidisciplinary teams.

Project Delivery: A demonstrable track record of successfully managing complex budgets, fast-track schedules, and resource planning in high-pressure environments.

    What is on Offer

The chance to work alongside an undisputed market leader in the booming data centre construction sector.

A collaborative, forward-thinking environment focused on delivering vital digital infrastructure.

Clear avenues for long-term career advancement and continuous professional development.
