Workday HCM Lead

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workday professional to join a leading global professional services organisation.
The position would suit someone who enjoys balancing operational support with project-based work and who is comfortable engaging with a range of business stakeholders within a complex environment.
The Role:
- Lead the design, configuration, and optimisation of the Workday platform, with a primary focus on Core HCM
- Own and maintain Workday configuration, ensuring solutions are scalable, effective, and aligned to business requirements
- Drive enhancement initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, reporting, and user experience
- Partner with HR, technology, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful Workday solutions
- Lead Workday releases, testing activities, system improvements, and platform documentation
- Design and maintain reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and support data-related activities across the platform
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members, helping to build Workday capability and best practice adoption
About You:
- Proven experience leading the configuration, design, and optimisation of Workday Core HCM
- Strong expertise across Core HCM, including business processes, reporting, and configuration
- Experience delivering Workday enhancements, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, translating business requirements into practical Workday solutions
- Strong understanding of Workday releases, testing cycles, troubleshooting, and production support
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on configuration and day-to-day platform ownership
