How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Coordinator

    Location: Swansea

    Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 16:30pm

    Salary: £31,754 per annum


    Purpose of the role

    The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team in the efficient and accurate production of LED lights and associated accessories. The role contributes directly to the assembly and preparation of high-quality products, training others to our high standards and overall responsibility for the team’s production and quality levels. Responsible for the management and organisation of the team and primary contact for issues on the line.


    Key duties & Responsibilities;

    • Assembly of standard product
    • Use of hand and power tools
    • Operate various items of machinery
    • Follow processes in accordance with quality procedures and documentation
    • Responsible for ensuring all assemblers adhere to processes and quality procedures
    • Test of standard product
    • Completion of production and test documentation
    • Inspection, cleaning and preparation of standard product
    • Packaging and despatch of finished goods
    • Ability to train all assemblers on all aspects of relevant production area
    • Demonstrated Leadership skills
    • Capable of writing effective reports
    • Responsible for daily management and organisation of the team
    • Increased level of competence and use of ERP system
    • Increased level of technical competence
    • Increased level of product knowledge and training
    • Mentoring of Level 1 to Level 3 Assemblers
    • Ability to represent at meetings and provide feedback
    • Reporting feedback back to the team
    • Communicate status of area targets to management and supplies effective reports when needed
    • Collaborate with Process Engineers on new product process developments
    • Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies or quality issues
    • Capable of working independently
    • Demonstrates Garmin’s values and looks for opportunities to help other team members


    Education & Experience

    • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
    • Production and/or Electronics assembly experience
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to train others to a high level of quality
    • Strong product knowledge
    • Demonstrable leadership skills
    • Capable of writing effective reports
