An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Maintenance Planner to join a busy and growing maintenance team based in Uddingston.
This role is ideal for someone with experience scheduling engineers, coordinating maintenance works, and managing workloads within a fast-paced operational environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring engineers are effectively scheduled, and helping to deliver a high level of service to customers across a varied property portfolio.
Working closely with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, you will play a key role in ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Responsibilities
ā Scheduling and coordinating engineers' workloads
ā Managing reactive and planned maintenance jobs
ā Raising and allocating work orders through internal systems
ā Liaising with customers, engineers, and subcontractors regarding job progress
ā Monitoring job completion and ensuring service level agreements are met
ā Updating maintenance systems and maintaining accurate records
ā Ordering materials and coordinating supplier deliveries when required
ā Producing reports and supporting operational performance targets
ā Assisting with the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
ā Previous experience in a Planner, Scheduler, Coordinator, Helpdesk, or Resource Planning role
ā Experience working within Facilities Management, Property Maintenance, Housing, Construction, Utilities, or Engineering environments
ā Strong organisational and time management skills
ā Excellent communication and customer service abilities
ā Ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy environment
ā Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or job management systems
Desirable Experience
ā Scheduling mobile engineers or field-based operatives
ā Experience within repairs and maintenance environments
ā Knowledge of compliance or planned maintenance programmes
ā Experience using CAFM or job management software
