How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends
    Location: Aspire Business Centre, Tidworth

    Your Role:

    *

    You will be leading the setup and mobilisation of a centralised Drawing Office function, establishing governance, systems, and standards.

    *

    You will be developing and implementing drawing management strategies, including digital repositories, naming conventions, and version control procedures.

    *

    You will be managing and developing a team of Drawing Specialists, allocating workload and driving high performance.

    *

    You will be providing technical oversight of all drawing outputs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and auditability.

    *

    You will be coordinating updates, revisions, and verifying drawings to maintain a single source of truth across the estate.

    *

    You will be supporting operational teams and driving integration with digital systems such as BIM, GIS, and estate management platforms.

    *

    You will be managing a small team of direct reports within a Drawing Office.

    What We're Looking For:

    Qualifications: You will hold a degree or formal qualification in engineering design or a related discipline.

    Experience: You will have proven experience leading a drawing office or technical design function, alongside expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Modelling environments, with strong experience implementing drawing management systems, version control, and working within complex estates or construction environments.

    Skills: You will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and governance skills, with excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams, high attention to detail, and the ability to implement structured systems effectively.

    Experience & Knowledge:

    Valid UK Driving Licence is required. Proven experience in document control, CAD standards, and drawing management systems is essential, alongside experience in complex estates or infrastructure environments.

    Desirable:

    Experience with GIS systems, digital estate management, knowledge of Ministry of Defence or large-scale estate environments, and understanding of contractual handback requirements.

    Skills:

    Leadership and team development, strong organisational and governance capability, effective communication, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and the ability to implement structured systems in unstructured environments.
